Safeguarding records for churches

Consider the flock.

Churches already work hard to keep children and vulnerable people safe. Considera will keep the record of it: police and vulnerable sector checks with their dates, training, renewals, and the documents your insurer or denomination asks for.

In development in Canada. Opening to Canadian churches first, in English, French and Spanish.

Every change recorded, with who and when

An illustration of a volunteer record. Considera is in development.

What it keeps

The whole record, in one place, with its history.

Most churches keep this in binders, spreadsheets and inboxes. Considera will bring it together so you can see who is cleared to serve, what is due, and what has changed.

Screening

Police and vulnerable sector checks, references and interviews: the date each was seen, by whom, and when it needs renewing.

Training and policies

Training certificates, code of conduct acknowledgements and annual declarations, signed by the volunteer.

Renewals

Reminders before anything lapses, so a check or a course does not quietly expire while someone keeps serving.

Records you can show

A clear summary for your insurer or denomination, with a history of every change that cannot be quietly edited.

How it works

Built around how churches serve.

These are the principles we are building Considera on.

Volunteers keep their own documents

A volunteer can hold their own checks and certificates, and choose what to share when they serve somewhere new.

Each church makes its own decisions

A church sees only what a volunteer shares with it. Another church's decisions are never passed along.

Young volunteers stay with their church

Records for volunteers under the age of majority are kept by the church, with consent from a parent or guardian.

Your records stay in Canada

Hosted in Quebec, in English, French and Spanish, and designed around Canadian privacy law.
